Wednesday, Day 4, Molde, Norway

We enjoyed dinner with the Kimbros at Chops Grille last night.  Our server Teresa asked where we were from, and when we told her, she immediately asked if we’d brought her a Whataburger and some spicy ketchup!  One of the bartenders had asked us the same thing last week, so I asked if she knew Al at the pool bar.  She whipped out her phone and showed us a photo of the two of them with their children!  She quipped, “He’s my roommate!” That’s the second couple of married crew members we know on this ship. A little after 1:00 a.m. last night, our neighbors came back to their cabin, apparently with several others, and they were all talking very loudly out on their balcony.  It woke us up, and there was no way to ignore the noise.  I called Security and they came and spoke to them, then called us to say the guests would leave and they’d be quiet.  Thank goodness! We docked at Molde early this morning, but it was already very sunny, as sunrise was at 3:40 a....

Tuesday, Day 3, Fjords Cruise

Today is another sea day, on our way to Molde, the northern-most port on this cruise.  Here’s where we were about 11:00 this morning: As you might expect, it’s chilly and windy outside, and the morning was very gray.  But we have blue skies this afternoon. Last night we met the Kimbros at Giovanni’s Table for a nice dinner. I chose the garlic shrimp served over mashed potatoes as my entree, and it was delicious. My dessert was the chocolate-hazelnut cake, also yummy. This morning we had breakfast in Chops Grille, then spent time in the suites lounge, mostly to give our room attendant a chance to clean our room.  We met Rachel for the afternoon ice show, and she took some great photos of the amazing skaters. Waiting for the ice show to begin  Tonight’s dinner will be at Chops Grille. Tomorrow morning we dock early at Molde. Rachel and Rob are planning a hike, and we’ll explore the town on our own.  More tomorrow!
