Sundays Day 12, At Sea
The seas are blessedly calm today, as we head towards the Strait of Gibraltar, which can apparently be rough at times. I hope we sail through it in daylight, as we might be able to see Africa and Europe at the same time. They are only eight nautical miles apart at the narrowest point. Here’s where we were a few hours ago.
We took our customary walk around and around on deck 4, but I think tomorrow will be our last day to walk there. The last two days we have morning excursions that leave fairly early.
Charlie scheduled lunch for Mother’s Day in Giovanni’s, and we both enjoyed ourselves. We had salads and calamari to start. I again chose the Pasta Bolognese (so good!), and Charlie ordered the Tagliatelle Carbonara. It arrived topped with what he first thought was some mozzarella, but it proved to be a poached egg! He said it was delicious. I had the chocolate-hazelnut cake again, and Charlie tried the cannoli. We may just opt for salads tonight!
When we returned from lunch, we found our certificates for crossing the Atlantic. Think we should get them framed?
Tomorrow is another sea day, on our way to Málaga. Thanks for following us along the way!

The cannoli looks amazing!!
