Cruise Day 2, Sea Day 1

Yesterday for Happy Hour, we tried the Diamond Lounge first, but it was heavily populated, and by grumpy-looking elderly Australians, many with walkers or scooters. We’re not quite there yet!  That may not be our hangout on this cruise.  We found Bolero’s instead and ran into our favorite server from the Suites Lounge on the previous cruise.  He seemed happy to see us (Charlie tips well), and we enjoyed the people-watching.

For dinner, we were back in Coastal Kitchen, where we had salads, then the filet for me and a pasta dish for Charlie. Sorry for no pics, but the menus repeat, so they’d just be duplicates!

This morning we managed our usual walk around the ship for exercise, and at 10 I went to the conference room to meet other crafters. That was fun! We had 12 women, all doing different crafts. Two of us were from Texas and the rest from Australia! We had a good time chatting.

I met Charlie for lunch at the cafe outside 270, a big space at the back of the ship, and we had good salads and a small sandwich.

Here’s where the ship was this morning.  I was surprised at our direction, as we’re heading for Moorea in French Polynesia.

That sent me to a real map, which helped!  French Polynesia looks due south of Hawaii.

And that’s your geography lesson for today!  More tomorrow!

  2. I’m finally all caught up with you! Your trip sounds wonderful with a good variety of delicious dishes! I enjoyed seeing the Na Pali coast - I think that’s where J & I had our helicopter tour. Lots of waterfalls and rainbows. Can’t wait to hear about the rest of the trip!

  3. Love the crafters pic too! Are y'all meeting up again? That's a fun way to spend some time on a sea day.
