Sea Day 2
Yesterday I forgot to post this photo Charlie took from our balcony. It was really beautiful to see !
Yesterday we returned to Bolero’s at about 5:30, during karaoke. I’ve never experienced karaoke, and it was, um, interesting. Turns out, all the Australians know all the words to Ride Sally Ride and sang along enthusiastically.
For dinner, again at Coastal Kitchen, I had the burrata appetizer, which was very good.
Charlie tried the creamy artichoke soup, which he said was tasty, but didn’t photograph well. Then we both chose entrees that you’ve seen before, the crab and shrimp crusted pollock for him, and the veal pappardelle for me, both very good. For dessert, we ducked into the Windjammer for mudslide cookies.
This morning (Wednesday), we took our usual walk about 7:00. Mid morning was the Top Tier event, so I skipped the crafting group for the program (and the free champagne). Here are the numbers for each loyalty tier:
Then Charlie went to the casino for a bit, so I found a seat in Schooner’s. The woman across from me was crocheting, so after admiring her baby dress, I invited her to the crafting group and she was very excited. She’s from Puerto Rico and has cruised a lot.
We had lunch at Chops Grille, so that was very nice. We both chose their steak and Gruyère burger, always a favorite, followed by key lime pie. The pie had a thin layer of cake between the filling and the meringue, which is interesting, but not my favorite, as it affects the creaminess. I wonder if the cake helps stabilize the meringue?
Tomorrow I’ll return to the crafters group. I hope more people will have discovered it!
