Sea Day 4
Four sea days in a row is starting to feel like a lot! That might not bode well for the Hawaii to Sydney cruise. . . .
Actually, we've had a nice day, with good weather and smooth seas. We had our morning walk earlier than usual (see third time zone change in as many days), and we were ready for the rest of our day by 9:00. We spent time in the lounge, then had time for some balcony sitting before lunch.
For lunch, I started with a Caesar salad, then chose the butternut-cheese tortellini with a black truffle butter sauce. SO good!
Charlie also had a salad, then the lobster-saffron risotto, which was also exceptionally good.
After our usual early afternoon activities, Charlie went to the casino and had some success, in addition to earning more points toward future cruises. He brought me back a very good sangria!
During Happy Hour in the Suites Lounge, the man who had dressed flamboyantly every night was wearing lederhosen, with knee socks and the traditional fedora. Maybe he was trying to get Oktoberfest started? Now we are eagerly awaiting tomorrow night's attire.
Dinner in Coastal Kitchen was very busy tonight, perhaps because filet mignon was back on the menu. Today is Day 7 of the cruise, so the menu starts to repeat. I again ordered the filet, and it was excellent -- tender and flavorful.
What is a genie?? Your food pics are getting really good.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the people watching on this cruise is excellent!
