Seattle, Day 2

We enjoyed another beautiful, sunny day in Seattle -- so lucky to miss the usual clouds this time of year! Here was our balcony view -- love the red trees along the shore. Wouldn't it be thrilling to live in one of those houses at the top?

We started our day with a brisk walk around the deck, first on Deck 5, but it was blocked in a few spots, so we went to the top deck and made a circuit there to get our 30 minutes of exercise.

After getting ready for the day, we spent time in the Suites Lounge, where I did my daily Duolingo lessons. It was nice and quiet, probably because many people went into the city again.

We had a nice lunch in Coastal Kitchen. We both had Caesar salads, and Charlie also had a bowl of lentil soup. For our main course, we both chose another starter, the Italian sausage, fennel, and roasted peppers flatbread. It was so big I couldn't even finish half of it!

After lunch, we made another circuit of the ship (just 1/4 mile), which is our post-meal plan to burn a FEW of the calories we're consuming. Then it was nap time for Charlie and knitting/Netflix time for me.

We enjoyed sitting on our balcony for a while mid-afternoon. The pool areas were hopping, and it took a while to get our first bar drinks of the day -- a really good sangria for me!

Before dinner we went to the Suites Lounge again and enjoyed watching as our ship left Seattle about 5:15.  A delightful older Aussie gentleman told me he'd admired my flowers as we returned to the ship yesterday and said his wife wished she'd known she could bring some onto the ship.

For dinner, we both started with wedge salads (not photographed, but tasty!), then I had Moroccan-spiced roast chicken over couscous with preserved lemon, and Charlie had veal cannelloni.

For dessert, we both chose the coffee pot de creme -- so good!

After a quick walk around Deck 14, we returned to our room for the night.

Today (Tuesday, our first sea day), we're looking forward to lunch at Izumi. And now, we're off to walk around the ship. If it's too windy, we'll do it indoors.
