Embarkation

Our trip from Houston to the port in Galveston went smoothly and comfortably.  The luggage hand-off was swift, and we only had a short wait before getting checked into the suites area. By 10:45, we had checked into our muster station and were settled into the Schooner bar with celebratory drinks.

We had lunch reservations at Chops Grille, which wasn’t busy at all.  We had a two-top by the window next to another couple from the Houston area. Charlie had a jumbo shrimp cocktail, and we both had the Gruyère steak burger and fries. Delicious!

By the time we finished lunch, our suite was ready. Charlie took photos before we began to unpack.

We have a lot of seating, plus a small round table and chairs. The TV swivels from the living area to the bedroom.

The bathroom is huge for a cruise ship, with two sinks and a giant tub in addition to a shower, toilet, and bidet.

It’s about 3:15 now, and we’re about to sail away!  More later!

  2. I can't believe how spacious that room is, and how great to have a couch with a place for your feet. And two sinks??? Luxury! We want to hear about dinner too!
