Birthday on Board

I enjoyed a pretty low-key birthday on the ship yesterday -- by choice.  Thanks for all the birthday texts and gifts!  I'm looking forward to reading my new books, ordering a knitting kit I'd been eyeing, and doing a little retail therapy when I get home!

Our room attendant (another October baby) knew it was my birthday and set up this "cake."  The pin in the center says, "It's my birthday!"

We enjoyed Mexican food for lunch -- El Loco Fresh is one of our favorite features on this ship.  For dinner, we were scheduled to go to Izumi, but opted to get takeout from there instead. The host was very understanding about the noise issue, saying he often has a headache by the end of the evening from all the hibachi hoopla. They packaged up our order nicely, and we enjoyed all our favorites in our suite (including sake in our espresso cups!).

Just some of our order

While waiting, we had drinks in Schooner's, and Charlie took this photo of the Centrum area:

We are currently only two hours ahead of Texas time, and we have another time change tonight. We are consistently waking shortly after 4:00, but maybe we ARE adjusting.  We'll gain another hour the next night, then the day after we get home, we will all Fall Back!  Wish us luck!

Thanks for reading!
